78 years: Still going young

After watching the 78th Annual Academy Awards I found that I was happy with the show. There were no big controversies, and the show was funny and entertaining. Jon Stewart did a good job hosting the show, though some of the jokes were a bit dry and didn't get a huge response from the audience. There were also some other clumsy parts, like the actress introducing the Film Noir montage. Did she forget her glasses backstage? And I can't mention all this without mentioning the rudeness of the producers. Cutting the winners off like they did on several occasions should be illegal. Some of these winners will probably never win an Oscar ever again, and they deserve all the time they want up there. For the producers to just turn off the microphone and move on to show yet another montage is wrong on so many levels. What is also wrong on many levels is that they put in "The Day After Tomorrow" with all the other great movies that have made an impact. Come on... TDAT is an entertaining movie, but it sure as heck didn't make an impact... unless you count hours of making fun of Hollywood producers and impact.
The opening sequence was extremely funny though. I loved that they got all the previous years' hosts be a part of it. Watch it here at youtube.com; You wont regret it!

For my final words this time I'll congratulate the winners: Crash, Memoirs of a Geisha, Brokeback Mountain.(complete list of nominees and winners) .They are all great movies and deserve their place up with previous years' winners. Hang on... There are no winners at the Oscars. Wallace & Gromit, Walk the Line, The Constant Gardener, actors, actresses, producers, writers, composers; You are all winners!
